What does Privacy Mode do?
Privacy Mode (called Local-Only Mode in the app) turns off cloud sync. Inspections, sensor data, and voice notes are stored on the device and are not synced to the cloud. It does not switch off every network call: sign-in, subscription checks, weather and pollen data, AI Insights, and anonymous usage analytics (which has its own switch in Settings) still use the network.
Can I later enable sync?
Yes. You can toggle Privacy Mode off in Settings, and HiveSense will resume normal sync to Firebase.
Is my data encrypted?
HiveSense does not add its own encryption layer to the local database. Records are protected by the storage encryption built into iOS and Android, so keep a passcode or screen lock on your phone.
