BeeKeepPal has built a polished inspection-logging app aimed at hobbyist beekeepers, and the cross-platform support is genuinely useful. Many beekeepers are happy with it.
The gaps show up when you start adding hardware or working in remote yards. There is no native BLE sensor integration — so BroodMinder or BEEP devices need a separate app — and there is no on-device voice transcription. The offline experience exists but the underlying architecture is cloud-first.

BeeKeepPal supports CSV/PDF export on paid tiers. HiveSense does not currently have a one-click importer, but reach out to support@tryhivesense.com and we will help bring structured records over. Many switchers use the move to clean up their records.
I am on Android — does HiveSense work?

Does HiveSense work with smart hive scales?
Yes. HiveSense reads BroodMinder-W weight sensors directly over Bluetooth and supports several other BLE devices (BroodMinder T2, TH; BEEP; Govee; SensorPush; Inkbird). Weight readings appear on the same timeline as inspections, so you can correlate a weight drop with a swarm event or harvest pull.
