Beekeeping classes and clubs in New York
Most beginner beekeeping classes in New York are run by local clubs and associations, not by a national directory. The organizations above are the way in. Beginner courses usually run in the months before the spring build-up, so enrolment often opens well before you need it. When you contact a club, ask about three things:
- → The beginner course: dates, fees, and whether it includes a hands-on apiary session.
- → The mentor list: many clubs pair new beekeepers with an experienced member for their first season.
- → Group buys and swarm lists: bulk orders for bees and supplies, and the list of members who collect swarms.
Schedules and fees change every year, so confirm them with the club directly. For more on picking a club, see our guide to beekeeping clubs and classes.
